Published: May 5, 2009 Linda Christian watches as Mij the otter checks out a cup of tea left by one of the volunteers working on his new habitat at 100 Acre Wood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center Tuesday. Jim Mendenhall, Chris Allin and Joe McDaniel have spent the last two weeks building a 10-by-20-foot habitat with a 500-gallon pool and an 8-by-8-foot night house with a 26-foot run between the cages for Mij and another adult otter at the center. McDaniel found 4-week-old Mij in March when he was abandoned by his parents near Bayport. Hernando Today NEWS, May 6, 2009

Linda Christian has saved this baby otter found on Bayou drive in Bayport. It was near death when it was found and she has nursed it back to health. It's about 6 weeks old and pretty frisky. It's a mystery why it was out of the den because it's eyes were not even open when it was found
Linda is a Wildlife Rehabilitator and operates a 501(c)(3) operation
